What is your mobile weapon of choice?
For the past year or so, I have exclusively used the iPhone. I loved the look, the OS was fast and pleasing to the eye, and there were tons of apps to choose from. I anxiously waited for the iPhone 4 pre-order site to become available and attempted to place my order as soon as it was. While waiting for the processing to go through, I decided to browse around at some of the other options available. Several of my friends have recently made the jump to Android, so I thought I would check it out.
I was impressed by the community response to this mobile OS and the devices that run it. My iPhone pre-order failed and I soon got the word that no more pre-orders would be taken for a while. At that point, I made the jump.
Enter, Google Nexus One.
I made the Android jump, and I haven’t looked back yet. This phone is simply amazing. It has a beautiful touch screen, fantastic response time, and a large assortment of apps to choose from via the Android Market, and the phone itself is every bit as pleasing to the eye as the iPhone. I can’t believe I didn’t make the jump sooner.
Anyway, enough with my new mobile addiction.
Have you had similar experiences with a Mobile OS?
Have you recently made a switch like the one I just described?
If you have, tell me about it!

So your android now? How do you think the apps relate/compare?
Is the response time equal/greater/worse than the iphone 4?
Im in love with my iPhone 4 and curious to how it compares.
Hey Travis –
I haven’t played enough with the iPhone 4 to give you and accurate comparison however, regarding apps, the Android platform has come a long way.
I also have an iPhone 3G. Nearly every app that I love on my iPhone has made its way to the Android Market. I would bet that the newer Android phones have a very competitive response time in relation to the iPhone 4. I have the Nexus One and absolutely love it. Then again, I am a “Google Apps Power User” so the integration really works out well for me.
It looks as though we’re going to have another competitor coming to the smart phone market. The Windows Phone 7 is looking pretty nice. All platforms are going to have to bring their A game to if they want to keep their piece of the pie.
Yeah they definitely are. I went for the iPhone 4 because of the design, speed, and brilliance of the screen.
